I, Pardeep Chatha created Asha Counselling Services in 2009. After working many years with individuals experiencing unhappiness and difficulties coping with life, I decided to create a service where individuals felt safe exploring their issues and working towards creating happiness in their lives. Through Asha Counselling Services, I offer hope and healing to clients suffering from post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, and low self esteem. Asha Counselling Services will work with individuals who have experienced grief and loss, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, abuse and neglect. My background: I completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology at University of British Columbia in 2007 and registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). Since completing My Masters, I continue to pursue further specialized training and in 2013, I became a Certified EMDR Therpaist and completed level 1 and 2 of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Mindfulness) training. With 20 years of experience in a variety of different programs including programs related to mental health, employment, housing, crisis, women's issues, work related injuries, grief and loss, I have gained the experience and knowledge to deal with many issues. I provide services in English and Punjabi. |
